Covering long distances, riding from coast to coast or the length of the US, Harley have been doing so for well over 100 years. While the other marques might have their Chieftains and their Goldwings’, none have a touring range with as much soul. These guys created the genre. And they have the range to prove it.

 These days that range consists of bikes like the Road Glide, in its many derivatives, with massive luggage carrying capacity as well as the most up to date electronics. Preparing one of these bikes to the standard that the dealership demands is a very comprehensive process indeed.

All come with a factory warranty

 A technician, who must be fully trained to H-Ds’ standards, signs a full 110 point checklist, thus confirming that the bike has been finished to the required standard.

In addition to this the bike is also checked for outstanding finance ‘leans’ on the machine, a service history check, which also verifies the bikes mileage, as well as an insurance database check. This last on confirms that the bike has never been written off.

All have a selection of aftermarket pieces

The end result of the process is a bike that comes with a guarantee on all the mechanical and electrical components on the bike. This is underwritten by Harley-Davidson themselves. Backing this up is a full year of roadside assistance in partnership with Allianz insurance. Riders even get a reduction on their HOG membership.
