The kit that the warriors wear!

This year the Isle Of Man Tourist Trophy (IOM TT) races will take place from Monday, May the 26th until Saturday, June the 7th. While the Northwest might be the fastest, the TT is always going to be the most famous. Now RST are back at the TT.

For many years the races on the island have been associated with Arai helmets. At one point over 80% of the riders taking part word the Japanese brand. Most of them were not factory supported but relied on their teams and sponsors to provide them. The distributor for the best helmets on the market also supplies RST motorcycle clothing and this brand has also enjoyed a long relationship with the TT, they even sponsor the Superbike Race. This is in addition to being the events official safety partner.

Riding as fast as you possibly can over 37¾ miles of the mountain course requires the best of kit and the organisers aren’t going to take on a partner when it comes to safety, so this one has definitely been ‘won’ by RST rather than bought with rider safety being paramount.
Full factory suits featuring In&Motion airbag units as well as boots, gloves and base layers are all part of what’s available to racers.

As with Arai, all the kit that our heroes wear while racing on the roads, is available for us mere mortals. In addition, there’s also a collection of TT branded kit. On the rider front there are two leather jackets inspired by the races, the Brandish and the Hillberry. Both are classically styled and are named for the corners, with the Brandish in particular being particularly cool!

If you’re lucky enough to be heading over to the TT then enjoy! If not then you can use streaming services to enjoy it all from your couch!
