Yamaha Ireland are looking to hire a new service manager

Danfay Limited are the importer and distributors of all things Yamaha here in Ireland. for the last 59 years they’ve been suppling ATVs E-Bikes, golf carts, outboard motors and, of course, motorcyclists. As the company continues to grow, they’ve just opened a world class retail unit here in Ireland, they are in the process of hiring a new service manager.

The role

The job is a Monday to Friday affair and is based in the companies head office in Sallynoggin, in Dublin.  

With a detailed, but clearly defined role, candidates should note the parameters of the position.

What's involved

The prime task is to liaise with the companies extensive dealer network to provide technical and warranty issues. This includes training on the lates Yamaha technologies, their working systems as well as diagnostic procedures. You’ll also be organising and facilitating ongoing training for technical staff across the dealer network.

An understanding of the latest Yamaha technologies, systems and diagnostic procedures will be facilitated via Yamaha service meetings, technical bulletins and assistance in managing product recall’s and updates. This, in turn will insure dealer compliance with Yamaha warranty and policy procedures.

As part of managing the data generated, you’ll maintain reporting systems. These are required by both Danfays general management as well as Yamaha both here in Europe and in Japan.

A rewarding role

The roll includes a comprehensive package. This includes a pension plan, on site parking and cover in case of illness. Salary negotiations start at, a more than reasonable, €43,000 pa.

Join the team 

To be considered you will need to have a full driving licence, a demonstratable ability to use MS Office as well as being a strong communicator, one with an ability to build on existing relationships and develop new ones. While the role is process driven, these attributes are also key requirements. A strong interest in the motor industry is essential.
